History of Java Language

JAVA is a high level Programming Language. which is developed  by Sun Microsystems Inc.(US) in 1991. James Gosling, Mike Sheradin, Patrick Naughton, and several others met to discuss a Project named Green Project.Initially James thought C and C++ could be used to develop this project. But C and C++ are System dependent languages and not be used on various Processors. So he decided to develop a new language called Oak, later it was changed to Java.
